Mars is known for action, energy and courage. This placement in our birth chart shows where physical activity will take place and indicates the kind of things that will arouse you- how to react to violence, etc. 

War, Jealousy, Pain, Muscular Energy, Cruelty, Stubbornness and Inflammation are attribution of Mars.

It is quite common to be noted that those who are having Mars in own / exalted houses are usually very calm in appearance, control their emotions. They will show sudden bursts of anger if their situation out of control or in long irritation. Vice-versa, if Mars in debilitated / enemy house.

Mars in 1^st H: Self-confidence. Courage. Leadership ability. Aggressive. Great energy and Stamina. These people can accomplish twice as much as most people.
