 If there are planets, excepting the Sun, in the 12th house from the Moon, Anapha Yoga is caused.

RESULTS

An individual born under Anapha Yoga will be virtuous, eloquent in speech, will enjoy food, drinks, robes and females, will be famous, retrospecting, will possess a handsome body and renounces the world in advanced age.

COMMENTS

The Moon is again the pivot in this Yoga as other five planets individually or in combinations fall in the 12th to her.

This Yoga forms an extremely wealthy combination, if the 12th from the Moon is occupied by exalted Venus or Jupiter for Aries and Leo Lagnas.

 If there are planets excepting the Sun in the 2nd house from the Moon, Sunapha Yoga is caused.

RESULTS

An individual born under Sunapha Yoga will be a king or his equal with self acquired property and be renowned for his wisdom and wealth.

COMMENTS

The Moon is very vital in this Yoga and the two Yogas following it. Sunapha Yoga has much to do with the financial prosperity of the native. The nature and the way of getting prosperity depends upon the planets in the 2nd and the 2nd lord from the Moon.

ATMAKARAKA

Among 7 planets, the planet which has attained the highest number of degrees in Birth-chart becomes the Atmakaraka.

Atmakaraka and the sign occupied by him in the Navamsa play an important part in Jaimini’s system.

The Sign occupied by Atmakaraka in Navamsa is called Karakamsa Lagna.

Ashtakavarga System of Predictions

Ashtaka means “consisting of Eight” and Varga means “a group”. Ashtakavarga is the system of analyzing a chart with respect to a group of 8 reference points.

We have 7 planets as the reference points and the the Lagna, making it 8 (Ashtak) .

The Ashtakavarga system is a method of calculating the powers of the planets relative to each other. For each and every house, all seven planets contribute their power or strength in terms of numerical value. This makes it easy to compare the powers of the planets for each house. There is no other system which can give such a clear cut view of the comparative strengths of all the plane

The individual Ashtakavarga chart is also known as the Bhinnashtakavarga.

The combined effect given in one chart is known as the total Ashtakavarga chart or the Sarvashtakavarga chart.

The total of benefic and malefic points in a house, for a planet is eight (8).

The “0”s are called Bindus or Benefic Points while “1”s are called Rekhas or Malefic Points. (Consider reverse in North India)
